What did you do in the Easter holidays? Well… I will tell you what I did. I left Hong Kong at 12: 30 am on Tuesday the last week of term 2. I arrived at the Incheon Airport at 4:30 am while you  were probably sleeping. My grandfather thinking that we arrived at 6:30, picked us up in our car. On the following week we went to a place called Everland (somewhere like Disney Land but more fun). Then we slept in our aunt’s houses (because me and my sister like to play with our cousins). We had lots of fun and then came back to Hong Kong on Monday the first day of term 3 but we still had to go to school and it was very tiring.

This is what I did in the Easter holidays!

The Birthday Present

I just moved to my new house on Magical Island. In school, I felt very popular because everyone wants to be my friend. I wonder why because you can’t be popular all in one day. I probably thought kids liked me because I’m rich. My new friend Allissa asked me if she could be my friend. Of course I said yes.
“Do you want to come to my mansion next week?” Allissa asked.
I said I’ll go but what should I get for her birthday? I think I’ll get her a crown made out of rubies, because she always wanted one. I can’t wait for her birthday.
Today is Allissa’s birthday. I was more excited than Allissa! I gave Allissa the box with the crown that I have made. We ate lots of junk food and finally she opened the box! She was so full of joy that she hugged me.
Now, it was time for the birthday present from her dad. It was a ring made out of diamonds, fully decorated with sapphires. We climbed up the stairs and then pressed a sapphire stone on the ring.
Surprisingly, the ring turned into a car flying with wings, out side Allissa’s window. We boarded the flying car and discovered new things.
The flying car was red and it was quite small. But it was cool. The inside of the car was as big as Allissa’s house! It had a toilet in it, a closet, a bedroom, a kitchen, and everything you need. You can live in there forever!
Tonight, I HAVE to make sure she goes to sleep early so I can get out of the house as quickly as possible. So I went to Allissa’s house and made sure she was asleep. I ran out of her mansion as fast as a cheetah. I took the gadgets I needed then quickly climbed into Allissa’s window, when all of the lights went off. I tried to get the ring but I missed. Instead I accidentally pinched Allissa’s face until she woke up. I quickly ducked under the bed, still she saw me. She asked me what I was doing in the middle of the night. I tried to think of an excuse but I couldn’t think of anything. Allissa drove me home in the flying car. She asked me if I was here because of her ring. I said no very sheepishly trying not to let her know the truth. I feel so bad that I didn’t tell her the truth. I am being so selfish to my new best friend. I shouldn’t have done this. It was a very bad plan.
The next day, I met Allissa and told her it was my birthday next Saturday. I also asked if she wanted to come to my birthday party. She told me she was going to go.  I still can’t believe she’s coming to my birthday party. Thank goodness she has forgiven me. I also invited my other friends and my classmates. When it was time to open my presents. I opened Allissa’s first, and it was a flying unicorn! I’ve always wanted a flying unicorn.

My Christmas Holiday

My Christmas holiday was very exciting… On the first week I watched movies like Madagascar 2, Bed times story and the Tale of the Desperax. I liked Madagascar 2 because it was funny how Moto Moto moved it’s little black dots that you have on your chest. I didn’t like Bed times story  because it wasn’t so funny it was just about a man telling a story to his nephew and his niece that really comes true. The Tale of the Desperax was quite sad because the princess were going to be eaten from starve rats but then Desperax and his friend which is a rat saved her life.
On the following week I went to Beijing for 3days and 2 nights but while I was there I stayed in the Shangri La Hotel. On the first day we explored around where we stayed and looked at the big market. Then on the second day I went to the Olympic stadium ( I didn’t really go there I just took a picture and then we went back into the car. We burrowed a car from the agencies. After the picture of the Olympic stadium we went to the Great wall of China. My dad, my mum, my sister and me didn’t want to walk up because it was too cold so we just took a cable car instead. Then we went to the Summer Palace to look where the ancient Chinese kings, queens and princesses lived in the summer. After our dinner we went to the sogo mall and my sister cut her fringe off and I cut my hair and we both got our nails done for free in a Korean hair shop. On our last day in Beijing we  visit the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City is where the kings, the queens and princesses lived. in the forbidden City
On the second week I played with lots of friends who are from my church but they all speak English and they are all called Esther, Isaac, Jack, Yuri, Shawna, Winson, Jonathan, Kelly, Leslie, my sister and me. On the first day we went to the Inspiration park. The reason we went to the Inspiration park was because we were going to Hong Kong Disneyland but then it cost to much for all of us so we played in the Inspiration park instead riding a bike. It was kind of weird when we ate our dinner, because we ate in the airport, in a Korean restaurant. On the next day I followed my mom’s pottery class. On Wednesday me and my family went to the service in my church on Christmas eve. I also had a sleepover in Esther’s house because my mum was just going to get a cup coffee but then my mum was going to go at 12:45 but then me and my sister were to tired to go home so we just had a sleepover.
On the third week I call it a sleepover week because I had sleepover every single day. First I went to Esther’s house on Sunday. Then Esther came to my house for a sleepover. But then the third day we didn’t have a sleep over because my mom said it was too much. The day after that was one day before New Year’s Eve and on that day I had a sleepover with Kelly. On Wednesday which was New Year’s Eve I had a sleep over with two friends, one of them is called Shawna and the other is Kelly again.
        This was my Christmas holiday!

Monday

Plane Ride
We left from school at 3:30 and tok the plane which took off at 5:30. When we were in the Hong Kong International Airport we passed the immigration and bought lots of candy, on our way to wur plane. In the plane lots of my classmates brought books for them to read like me. I broughttwo books that were written by Judy Blume. The two books were called ‘Super Fudge’ and ’Tales of a Fourth Grader Nothing’. Those books were very funny but not as fun as ’Judy Moody’s’. In the plane airhostesses offered us some drinks like coke, zero coke, sprite, orange juice, tomato juice and water. But I chose coke zero . The plane ride was relaxing and peaceful but very noisy from us which didn’t including me.

Tuesday
Battery Cars
In the morning after our breakfast buffet, we went for a van tour around Yang Shuo. We rode our own battery car and looked around the farm lands. While I was riding I also found out lots of differences from Hong Kong and YangShuo. One of the differences I ssaw that I spotted write away was there weren’t any apartments . There were only small buildings. We saw lots of old houses, birds, children feeding chickens and crops. In the battery car one of my group mates, Carver, took 200! So really he took 10 pictures a minute that’s why Tristan got so angry and annoyed that he wanted Carver to get out of the car that instant. We found 20 huge cow poos on the road . I saw  it when we were in the batteery cars were very interesting because I never seen the old and rural lands . I’ve always lived in cities.

Banyan tree / Moon Hill
After eating lunch in Lucy’s Place  our group took a bus to look at the Banyan tree, the oldest and biggest in China. The Banyan tree es 1419 yearls old. It is as big as 20 buffalos altogether. After ‘Taking pictures of the Banyan Tree’ we climbed up Moon Hill. On Moonhill there are 787steps! I can’t believe that I climbed up 787 steps! But it was very tiring. I really didn’t want to climb up Moon Hill. But when I got up there icouldn’t believe I was looking at this view. It was the most amazing sight I have ever seen in my whole life! At the same timeI was very upset that my camera was not charged and I didn’t bring the charger to China. Anyway, I had a lot of fun loking at the view and going down the hill.

Wednesday
Hoping School
On Wednesday, we visited the Hoping School after we had lunch. I was so excited to go but when I got there I wasn’t empressed as I thought I would be. It was just KIDS doing their normal thing and just wanted to get some gifts. Me and Allissa felt quite upset when the kids laughed when they saw us sing Oom pah pah and when Mr Mac announced a speech. The kids in Hoping School just laughed harder everytime Mrs Tse (our mandarin teacher) said a world translating mr Macs speech.

Thursday
Disco Night

The whole year group met at a meeting room in the Paradise Hotel. The meeting room was really big! We first started off with a quiz about guilin and China by Mrs Crawford. Then we did a Russian dance from Mr Loran.

Gabe competed in Mr Loran’s Russian dance When the competitors from different group did the Russia n dance it looked really, really hard. I mean I couldn’t even do it. The Russian dance was hard because you had to dance on your tip-toes and only on two feet. t the same time you had to sit down and balance your whole body. After Mr Loran’s dance it was Mrs Cole’s turn to do some quizzes about celebrities, then we did a game called ‘Who can do the back-bend the longest’ game also by Mrs Cole. In the ‘Who can do the back-bend the longest’ competition there was a tie . The winners were Chantal and Natasha Christensen. It was Mr Stanhope’s Cartoon Questions next. We knew all the answers thanks to Caver and Gabe. Then we did a Tea-pot dance. You had to sing and dance at the same time singing ,”I’m a little teapot”. I competed in the “I’m a little teapot’singing and dancing competition. I didn;t win but it was still fun and I didn’t really care that much. After that it was Mr Loran’s sports quiz time. The questions were not so hard since the boys in our group watch sports all the time. This was my favourite part because it was Mr Mac’s hip-hop dancing time. I was suprised that Gabe won the hip-hop competition not Izzy Da Costa. I thought Izzy was going to win because she is a very flexible girl. She is one of the people I know that is very flexible. I also thought Izzy was going to win because she was in Mr Mac’s group called the Mac Attack. After the hip-hop competition the group leaders announced the winners of who won the most points. We came in 3rd.

Halloween!

Today is halloween! Me and my friends were very excited about today because today is Halloween!Everybody in my school was all talking about Halloween.

Last year when I went trick or tricking there were a lot of decoration all around Headland. There were some spiders that you clap then the spider suddenly comes down. On the office station’s door (headland office station) there was a dead skeleton wearing a cape.

This year I changed my mind to do something new. I went to a halloween party at my Korean church. In the party they made cotton candy. When the priest made cotton candy you could choose a flavour like: strawberry, melon or orange. We also played games or actually I should call it dancing. I also got to have three tattoos one on my right arm, one on my left arm and another on my shin. It was funny how my sister put one on her palm and another on her foot (I mean the bottom of it). At the end of the party we got to take sweeties home! in my bowl of candies I had: two toffees, one Laffy taffy, one box of nerds, one tootsie lollipop and one packet of sweet tarts.

That’s how my 2008 halloween ends!

The trip to the Wetlands!

On Wednesday we went to the Wetlands. We were going to the wetlands so we could learn about the habitats and their adaptions. It took us an hour to get there! When we arrived in the Wetlands, the first thing we saw was a crocodile. Next we were supposed to be looking at frogs and turtles but we didn’t see frogs or turtles. But we saw four water snakes! While we were walking to see more nature, we found pink tiny balls stuck to one of the stems the near the lakes. Angel, the guide, said they were the eggs of golden apple snails! Angel also told us that the snail is big as an apple. The next things we saw were dragonflies and dimsenflies. I’ll tell you some differences between them. The first difference you can spot is the tail. A dimsenfly has a longer tail than that of the dragonfly. The second difference you can find is their eyes. The dragonfly’s eyes are big, and are not separated; in contrast, the dimsenfly’s eyes are small and separated.

The Kidnap

In Canducal land, there lived Cloe and Ella, who were best friends forever because they had been friends from when they were one year old. Their mothers were friends since they were in primary school, too. Cloe’s father was the president of Canducal land, and this is why her parents always told her that she would be the president when she grew up. But she didn’t want to be the president of Canducal land, and she didn’t want to do what her parents said. She was the president’s daughter and that was why anybody near her, except Ella, would be strangled to death until they say sorry to Cloe.

One night, as Cloe was sleeping, she heard a noise and she looked around with baggy, sleepy eyes. All she saw was her pillows. But there was a kidnapper. He had gone into Cloe’s room, so quietly that Cloe didn’t wake up. He slowly pulled out his kidnapping bag and slipped it under Cloe’s body so that she couldn’t feel what he was doing. Cloe moved a bit so the kidnapper had to stop every time she moved.

The kidnapper, whose name was John, was 30 years old but wasn’t married yet because every time he met a girl, Cloe and Ella would show up and disturb them. That’s why he chose to work at the company called N.S.K.(short for nasty stupid kidnappers).

When Cloe woke up she found out she wasn’t on her cozy, fluffy bed her dad bought. She was in this horrible, puny room on a tiny sofa that just looked like garbage bins glued altogether.

Cloe also found out that tied up with chains all over her body.

Suddenly, John and his boss threw Cloe into the sea like a dead bird trying to fly.She flew down like a missile shooting against earth.

When Ella and her family were going to the beach she saw  Cloe drowning in the sea with the weight wrapped around her body.  They dove in the sea to save their friend but as soon as they tried to bring her up she wouldn’t budge from the sand. Ella’s parents tried to save her but they couldn’t because there was to much weight on her.  So Ella and her mum had to call their friends as fast as they could in order to save Cloe, their friend.  When Ella and her mum’s friends lifted up Cloe to the shore, Cloe couldn’t breathe or her heart wouldn’t beat normally. It didn’t beat at all! And she couldn’t breath for a long time. They were all sad because the doctor said her lungs were filled with water. He also said she would die less than a week.
